About Me

I combine working as a university research manager with running my own writing and editorial business and raising my family. It's a very busy lifestyle, but I really enjoy the variety of experience that it gives me.

Over the years I've had all kinds of non-fiction published (a book, academic papers and magazine articles), as well as ghost writing two other books. Now I'm concentrating on fiction. I've published three novels to date: A Matter of Degree, Travels on a Greyhound Bus and Six Months in Paris.

Academically speaking, I hold a PhD and an MA Honours in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, York.

When I'm not working or spending time with my family, I really enjoy doing yoga (I've been practising for well over 20 years now, so am very flexible!) and swimming lengths at my local pool.
